Meibography

Meibography is a diagnostic technique used to visualize the meibomian glands in the eyelids. These glands are responsible for producing the oily part of the tear film, which helps keep the eyes moist and lubricated. Meibography is typically performed using a special infrared camera that can penetrate the eyelid to capture images of the meibomian glands. These images can help identify any abnormalities or blockages in the glands, which are often associated with dry eye disease.
